GLENN STOTT
Glenn is a founder member of The Fine Companions. As well as vocals he plays guitar, five-string Banjo, Highland and Electronic Bagpipes.
After learning the guitar at 18, he soon joined a local folk group, Volume 4. Over the years he has played with many different musicians and bands, and also as a solo performer.
Glenn’s early folk heroes were the Clancy Brothers and the Dubliners and latterly he particularly enjoys the music of Damien Dempsey, The Saw Doctors and Capercaille.
Prior to retirement, Glenn worked in the delicatessen retail trade and could (and still can) aways be found near cheese!
Glenn says “It’s a great privilege to be part of The Fine Companions, playing alongside talented musicians, who have also become good friends”, and it’s been especially rewarding for him to see the band continue to develop over the years.
