LUCIA WHITE

Lucia plays Acoustic Guitar, Bodhran and contributes Vocals. She had a few, brief guitar lessons aged 12, and returned to practice during lockdown when her guitar skills were hugely enhanced. She is also branching out into song writing.

Another band member with an Irish heritage, Lucia grew up to the hum of Irish ballads and the music of Horslips, Planxty, Pink Floyd and Mike Oldfield, courtesy of her siblings. Her first album purchase was Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here, and the early performers she went to see were Be Bop Deluxe, Ralph McTell and Barbara Dixon. Her musical influences include Dougie MacLean, Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, Honey and the Bear, Kate Obel and Laura Veirs.

Lucia is a retired nurse, and is a fairly new member of the band, who she says "have made her feel really welcome" and she enjoys adding to the range of music with percussion, guitar and song. She says "it's wonderful to be amongst such inspiring talent".
